All with a tap
One tap turns any doorway into a checkpoint. Students tap their ID; staff instantly see a photo, a name, and a green-or-red answer.
Students tap their ID, and every classroom, practice, club, and extra-help session is recorded automatically and accurately — synced straight to your SIS in real time.
A student raises their hand, you nod, they tap out — the pass starts on its own. MOOV tracks how long they've been gone and if they got to their destination.
Scan an ID to check for a hall pass, find any student, write a pass — all from your pocket, like ApplePay.
Every visitor screened against criminal and offender databases - badged and identified before they're through the door.
Every MOOV feature runs on the same simple hardware. Place it where you need it.
Super light, mounts anywhere. The first ID tap logs attendance, the second tap starts a hall pass - free your teachers to focus on what matters.
Know exactly who walked into your building, and when. Scan ID cards at any entrance, cafeteria, or common area - to know instantly who belongs there.
Pocket device for staff — scan student IDs like ApplePay, check for hall passes, and write a pass on the spot.
Real-time analytics, admin dashboards, and custom reporting - everything you need to manage attendance and safety district-wide.
Manage MOOV from the backend, assign admin rights, view analytics, and see live attendance across every classroom.
Know exactly who is on campus, who has left, and which students are in the halls at any given moment.
Create custom reports and analytics tailored to your school's needs. Track trends, patterns, and improvements over time.
Teachers, admins, and staff each get a tailored experience. Assign roles and permissions from your admin panel.
Real educators and administrators on what changed after MOOV.
We lived the problem. Now we're solving it. MOOV is a K-12 safety and attendance platform that gives schools one system to manage it all: building access, tardiness, hall passes, chronic absenteeism, and real-time attendance...and all through a simple ID card tap!
We operate like lives depend on it - because in many ways, they do. When a school has a need, we respond within minutes.
We completely obsess over our customers. Every decision is made with this lens. We shock our customers with the quality of our products and the speed of our service.
We prioritize the success of our employees and partners above all else.
We measure our work by the hours we save teachers and staff, the security incidents we prevent, and the number of schools that run better with us. We're not building a business to get acquired, we're building 50-year relationships with customers, and insanely great products that the schools of our kids' kids will benefit from.
Kevin walked into high school every single day completely unaccounted for. No attendance verification. Hall passes were literal blocks of wood. And everyone just accepted it.
Kevin didn’t. As a student, he founded the Student Pipeline and became his district’s first-ever student liaison to the Board of Education, giving students a direct voice with the people making decisions about them. He learned early that the systems meant to serve students were rarely built with them in mind.
That lesson stuck. When he saw schools that couldn’t answer the most basic safety question - who is actually in this building right now? - he built MOOV. From writing the software to wiring the hardware to winning over skeptical administrators, he proved a young founder could solve a problem the education system had ignored for decades. MOOV is now featured on FOX and serving schools nationwide.
Kevin was also a walk-on to the Notre Dame Men’s Rowing Team and a United States Marine, two commitments that shaped everything that came after.
Samera grew up inside the education system (quite literally). She started preschool the same year her mother became an assistant teacher, and watching her mother rise from the classroom to school administration taught her early that education is both a responsibility and a privilege.
A salutatorian and engaged student, Samera thrived academically and in leadership, yet she was also chronically late. Not out of defiance, but because she struggled with motivation, structure, and behavioral accountability. Her graduation cap, decorated with late passes, told the story of a student who cared but felt the friction of systems that failed to change her behavior.
She didn’t dismiss that experience. She studied it. Samera pursued a dual BA/MA in Psychology at The New School, focused on what actually motivates students to show up and how systems can be designed to support behavior change, not just punish it.
That intersection of psychology, data, and operations led her to MOOV, where she helps schools modernize attendance, safety, and accountability - building systems that improve both student and administrator experiences.
From tutoring to designing language curriculum to teaching during summers, education was something June cared about long before it became a full-time career.
Safety wasn’t always part of the picture. That changed the day a serious safety threat was made against her school. Hers was a small public school, exactly the kind of place where everyone assumes nothing like that could ever happen. She understood then that safety isn’t a function of reputation or zip code. It can happen anywhere, to anyone.
Her fascination with education, how it works, who it serves, and all the forces pressing on it from the outside, led her to Barnard College of Columbia University, where she studied cognitive science and education, digging into how students learn, what shapes their behavior, and how the systems around them help or hinder them. From there, she entered the edtech world, working at a handful of startups building tools for schools.
Those threads - a love of education, a hard lesson in how fragile safety really is, and a builder’s sense of what schools will actually use - led her to MOOV. As Head of Customer Success, she draws on all of it, from the classroom time and the years spent watching what schools actually adopt, to make sure MOOV works for the people using it, not just on paper.
Turvey was born and raised in Beijing, China, and studied psychology and history at Pomona College in Los Angeles. He started making his own money at 18 and has been an entrepreneur ever since, building startups across education and technology.
At MOOV, Turvey brings that startup grit and his passion for EdTech together, driving multi-channel growth to bring MOOV to more schools and districts nationwide, while building real relationships with every partner along the way. As his dad always told him growing up, people live to create value for others. At MOOV, that means making schools safer and every student accounted for.
MOOV integrates with eSchool, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, SchoolTool, Skyward, Aspen, and more.
Staff visit staff.joinmoov.com and students visit student.joinmoov.com. Both can sign in with their school Google or Microsoft account - no extra passwords needed.
The Magic Reader is MOOV's tap-to-scan device. Students simply tap their school ID card on the reader to check in. It automates attendance, saves teachers 2 minutes per period, and syncs everything to your SIS in real-time.
MOOV can be set up in minutes, not months. Our team handles the onboarding, SIS connection, and device configuration. Most schools are live within a week.
Absolutely. MOOV is FERPA compliant and takes student data privacy seriously. All data is encrypted, and we never sell or share student information.
