Who knows students better than students themselves?
At our public schools, attendance (and tracking it) was a big issue. So, we created something to combat it.
Frequently asked questions
Any other questions? Email kevin@joinmoov.com
1. How do I login?
Staff and students can visit staff.joinmoov.com and student.joinmoov.com, respectively. Use your school email to sign in with Google or Microsoft.
2. When does classroom attendance sync?
This is customized for each school, and depends on your SIS.
MOOV is designed to take the place of your SIS for attendance-taking. You should not make changes back and forth between the two, as this can cause syncing issues.
For eSchoolData and PowerSchool: - Present/Tardy are usually sent in real-time. - Absences are set at the end of the period if the teacher has hit "save".
For all other SIS: - Everything is set at the end of the day, usually 3pm.
3. What do the colors on MOOV Reader mean?
Green means the student is allowed to enter. Yellow means the ID is not recognized. The student is most likely using an old ID. If you are not using MOOV ID cards, and the card was just produced, there is likely a syncing issue with the ID moving from your badging software into MOOV.
Red means the student is not allowed to enter/exit the room. The student may be trying to enter the cafeteria when they have class, exit class when the bathroom is full, etc. The teacher will see a red notification appear on their screen with a reason.
Connection states: Purple means the reader is attempting to send the tap to the SIS. Yellow flashing means the reader is attempting to connect to your WiFi.
If the reader is consistently purple or red, try rebooting by unplugging and replugging back in. If this persists, repeat twice. After three attempts, check your WiFi connection, and try a different power outlet in your room. If the issue is still not resolved, email engineering@joinmoov.com.
